The well-being of our visitors is always of the utmost importance to us, and especially so during this uncertain time. Following the recent government advice for people to avoid socialising in crowded places such as cafes, restaurants and theatres, we have taken the difficult decision to close Bluecoat until further notice.

Our new season of events and exhibitions is now online! Mary Cloake talks us through her highlights... 

This season we celebrate our work helping artists develop their ideas, with a focus on two who have been in residence in our studios, Jonathan Baldock and Frances Disley. Both have developed new work and we are delighted to present this in public through two new exhibitions: Jonathan’s Facecrime, a surreal landscape of animated ceramics, and Frances’ Star Trek-inspired Pattern Buffer that takes us into a verdant world of restorative rest and activity.
