Get into the festive spirit whilst supporting Bluecoat!

Due to the popularity of last year’s festive gifts, Blue Room artists have been back into the Bluecoat Print Studio to create a brand new range of gifts.

This year in addition to the usual cards and gift wrap, Blue Room have created a limited edition calendar to celebrate 300 years of Bluecoat. Each calendar features six hand printed original artworks, inspired by the building and its heritage, as well as the city of Liverpool.

Blue Room is an inclusive arts project which supports learning disabled artists to explore exhibitions, share ideas and create artwork. The sale of the prints will enrich and enhance Bluecoat's programme of activities and opportunities for Blue Room artists.

Blue Room artist Tony Carroll is incredibly proud of his design and shares the enjoyment behind creating such work:

"I feel happy with my card design. I want people to buy my card and to see my work on show. I like going up to the print studio, we have a laugh and get in a mess!"

Joshua Henderson is an enthusiastic artist and is inspired by the Bluecoat:

"Bluecoat is my favourite building,  I like drawing it.  The shape is quite hard but my friend said to me 'Just try your best'. It turned out really well!"

Sending a Blue Room bespoke card or purchasing this very special calendar will help artists like Tony and Joshua to pursue their future artistic endeavours.

There are several designs available which we will be showcasing on our social media this week, through Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

This festive collection is available to purchase from the Tickets and Information desk at Bluecoat.

Gift Wrap £1/ Cards £2/ Calendar £10
