Euphonia Saturday Singing Workshops & Performances

This Spring we are delighted to welcome British artist Emma Smith to Bluecoat with her solo exhibition, Euphonia.  Bluecoat’s gallery is transformed in this ground-breaking new sound installation by Emma Smith, based on the music of social communication. Smith will draw from sounds created by the many people who visit Bluecoat on a daily basis –parents and babies, visitors to the café and the choirs and groups who rehearse there in the evenings.

Throughout the exhibition, there will be a number of live performances in the gallery from choirs and singers. These include Liverpool's Choir with No Name harmonising with the score created by Smith.

Free / Drop-in

Sat 5 / 26 May + 2 / 9 / 23 Jun

Alongside the exhibition and performances there will be workshops throughout May. Join operatic and a capella guest musicians to interpret and play with the scores for improvisation in Gallery 3.

Free / Drop-in

Join in the workshops, perfornances or both.
