Elinor Randle on Physical Fest

Here, Elinor Randle, Artistic Director for Physical Fest talks about what we can expect at the festival running from Wed 30 May to Sat 2 June 2012 at the Bluecoat.

Elinor said: "I’m really excited about hosting Physical Fest at The Bluecoat for the first time! It’s the perfect venue for Physical Fest with lots of spaces to use and a busy, great artistic hub of activity that we are looking forward to contributing to. People always come over from all over the world, and its such a great atmosphere and so exciting to be part of.

This year’s fest has eight days of workshops and classes; I am particularly looking forward to the two Russian artists that are coming over and getting stuck into some hardcore Russian movement and acrobatics!

We are also hosting two of the festival events at the Bluecoat, both of which are free to the public, the Fest ‘jam’ on Wednesday 30 May, an entertaining improvised hour of physical theatre with live music and our closing event from 8pm on Saturday 2 June with live music from local musicians, am especially looking forward to seeing the band ‘The Lonesome Georgina’s again!"
