New donations box at the Bluecoat

Our board members inaugurated our brand new donations box this week - hand made by gallery technician Barry Charlton.

Having a donations box is important as every pound we earn directly affects what we can do. The funding we receive covers core activity and is normally allocated to a specific area. However, money donated by visitors can be spent training a volunteer, employing an artist, designing a new exhibition for visitors to see for free, buying props for performance events or allowing a vulnerable adult to build their confidence through working with us.

This money might also go towards buying paint and art materials, looking after our Grade I listed building, maintaining our heritage and cultural tradition, subsidies for our studios, giving volunteers and staff opportunities, engaging the community in artistic projects, improving health and wellbeing, engagement and social interactions. The list is endless. Your donations help towards everything we do and importantly, the money you give today, can be spent in the areas of greatest need.

Thank you from everyone at the Bluecoat for your support and for helping us to continue delivering these valuable services.

Pop down to the hub to donate or donate online.
