The Bluecoat’s new literature programme will host authors from the city and farther afield throughout the Capital of Culture year and beyond. The Bluecoat is delighted to welcome novelist Jeanette Winterson and poet Tom Paulin to Liverpool to kick off the exciting March-May literature programme of events.
Jeanette Winterson published Oranges are not the only Fruit in 1985, aged 23, and has since gone on to become one of the UK’s leading writers. To date, she has published 15 works including short stories, children’s book, and novels, and has adapted her work for theatre and television. She writes regularly for The Times and The Guardian. A fearsome speaker, Jeanette developed her talent as a Pentecostal preacher – don’t miss this chance to hear her in person.
