German pianist Alex von Schlippenbach and British percussionist Eddie Prévost have each developed unique, sonic schools that draw on elements of jazz, avant-garde composition and above all, their power and energy for invention. Despite their paths crossing since the 1970s, this is the first collaboration between these two key figures in contemporary European avant-garde music and promises a journey into the musically unknown.
Support comes from Liverpool’s Frakture Big Band; the cacophonous ensemble made of the city’s finest free improvisers.
