Taking over every available space of the revamped building, Happenstance brings together a vibrant array of live art works and is destined to become a regular feature of the Bluecoat's performance programme. Highlights of the packed programme include:

Saturday 5 April

Leading UK-based performance artist Franko B presents Don't Leave Me This Way, the artist's new collaboration with lighting designer, Kamal Ackarie. Franko B is best know for his blood-letting performances which he has shown at Tate Modern, ICA, and venues throughout the UK and internationally, however, this performance marks the artist's departure from blood-based work.

Experience Kira O'Reilly's acclaimed performance, Inthewrongplaceness. Originally commissioned by HOME, the one-to-one performance features O'Reilly in constant, slow motion with a female pig carcass.

Book one day ticket - Saturday

Sunday 6 April

The centrepiece for the final day of Happenstance will be Rajni Shah's new performance installation Dinner With America. Stunning visuals and layers of text, movement and sound interweave as the performance space shifts and transforms, gently uncovering sub-themes of consumerism, rights, ownership, voices, hopes, harvest and division in a visually compelling and unusual piece of work that addresses the complexities of cultural identity in the 21st century.
