Carolyn Hester (“an independent, engrossing artist” Ian Anderson, Folk Roots), has worked with Buddy Holly and John Hammond and is credited for giving Bob Dylan an early break, hiring him to appear on her first album for Columbia. An utterly compelling performer, Hester emerged from the 60s Greenwich Village folk scene and remained at the forefront of the American roots scene ever since. Supported by singer/songwriter Dean Johnson.
