An exhibition exploring and celebrating fresh approaches to drawing in contemporary art. The End of the Line features eleven internationally acclaimed artists, many of whom have not been seen widely in Britain before. As a group, their work represents a vast range of possible interpretations of drawing, from meticulously rendered scenes of everyday life, to three-dimensional drawings invading architectural space.

The exhibition includes animation by Japanese artist Naoyuki Tsuji, Michaël Borreman's enigmatic scenes of disrupted scale, fernando Bryce's appropriated graphic imagery, invented fantasies by Chilean Sandra Vásquez de la Horra and Monika Grzymala's site specific invasion with wild delineations of tape.

To coincide with The End of the Line, Monika Grzymala has created Ruptures, a new site-specific installation for her solo exhibition at The Drawing Room, London. This installation will be reconfigured by the artist in the Bluecoat's Vide space.

A Hayward Touring exhibition in collaboration with mima (Middlesborough Institute of Modern Art) and the Bluecoat, Liverpool in association with The Drawing Room, London.
