Live Art Lock-in featuring Proto-type Theater's WHISPER
Date: Wednesday, 30 April 2008 | 7:00pm - 10:00pm
Location: Performance Space
Ticket Prices: £8/5
From 6.00pm we open the galleries after hours for live events, music and installations. The centrepiece of the first Lock-in at the Bluecoat is Proto-type Theater’s Whisper while sound installations and performances fill the rest of the gallery spaces.
Obscured behind a cinematic screen, three performers appear as shadows, silhouettes or in stark clarity as they narrate an apocalyptic journey through a fictional city. Each audience member is given a set of headphones through which they hear the performers’ voices overlaid with homemade sound effects and a tense score by Philip Reader.
Supported by The National Lottery through Arts Council England.
