Head of Participation, (Maternity Cover)

Community engagement in contemporary arts is important to our vision. We are seeking to appoint the following post to cover maternity leave in our Participation team:

Salary: £27k pro rata (6 month contract, 17.5 hours per week)

The post holder will head up the Participation team, managing key strands including the celebrated Blue Room programme for learning disabled adults and the well-established ART Valley programme working in Liverpool neighbourhoods of Croxteth, Fazakerley and Norris Green.

Marketing Officer (Temporary)

Role:

To provide support to the marketing team on a temporary basis; taking responsibility for marketing planning and execution. The role will have specific responsibility for marketing the exhibitions and live events, supporting trading company activities and coordinating audience research. The successful candidate will have experience of working with marketing databases and willingness to undertake a thorough review of the Bluecoat’s customer data.

Specific responsibility for:

To promote the Bluecoat’s visual arts and performance programmes, including:

  • Compiling and editing the quarterly brochures
  • Planning and implementing campaigns to promote exhibitions, including liaison with partner organisations
  • Promoting individual events as necessary.
  • Produce signage, marketing and interpretation materials, including copy writing, commissioning of design work and handling production, as necessary.

Developing the Bluecoat’s customer database:

  • Undertake a thorough review of the Bluecoat’s marketing database
  • Recommend actions to improve data structure and quality
  • Undertake  data cleansing tasks
  • Coordinate data capture initiatives to enhance data capture quantity and quality
  • Interrogate database and recommend further marketing actions
  • Monitor data capture

Trading company:

  • Promote the catering offer, (corporate and weddings) and Upstairs bistro

Coordinate audience research:

  • Coordinate our team of research volunteers
  • Manage data collection and input
  • Coordinate reporting from research

Audience development planning:

  • Interrogate internal data and produce reports which give insight into our audiences and visitors.
  • Worth with external agencies on audience profiling.
  • Contribute to audience development plans

Undertaking other marketing activities as requested by the Director of Marketing

Terms:

Minimum 3 month contract Apr-June with possibility of extension.

Working hours:  28 hours per week

Salary:              £13,600 per annum
