Liverpool Arabic Arts Festival opens Sat 3 July alongside Arabicity: Such A Near East (Sat 3 July - Sun 5 September). Curated by Rose Issa, the exhibition introduces six contemporary artists from the Arab World who explore their cultural heritage from unique perspectives, expressing what they find in unexpected and emotive ways. 

Global Studio, now on show at the Bluecoat until Sun 20 June, showcases the work of Liverpool artists who have forged international networks outside the city. Comprised of five different yet connected displays, reflecting the changing nature of the 'Global Studio' including two spaces with a regularly updated programme of new work.

Sonia Boyce pioneer in the Black British cultural renaissance of the 1980s returns to the Bluecoat 25 years after first exhibiting here with new work Like Love Parts One & Two including a collaboration with Blue Room and Action her selection of emerging artists Beverley Bennett, Appau Boayke-Yiadom, Robin Deacon and Grace Ndiritu.
