Please note that during the temporary closure it is only possible to book tickets for forthcoming events online or over the telephone. At present both of these booking methods are only available between the hours of 10.00am and 5.00pm.

Last chance to see Now Then

by Phil Olsen - Thursday, 01 May 2008
Now Then final weekend
Hew Locke 'Sin Eater' (detail)
This weekend is your last chance to see Now Then, the first exhibition in the Bluecoat's brand new wing of galleries. If you haven't yet seen Alec Finlay's colourful nest boxes or Paul Morrison's 100 foot long wall painting, now is the time to visit. If you have already been, you'll know that Hew Locke's giant Sin Eater is worth coming back for and there is still some space (just about) to tie another wish to Yoko Ono's Wish Tree. With repeat viewings, Janet Hodgson's Re-run reveals more of its classic film references too.

Yoko Ono gave a live performance to a packed out audience at the Bluecoat on Friday 4 April. Hundreds of people who missed out on tickets were able to see live streaming of the performance in the Hub at the Bluecoat as well as on the BBC Big Screen in Liverpool's Clayton Square.

Yoko's performance came 41 years after she gave her first paid UK performance at the historic arts space.
