Hundreds of people who missed out on tickets were able to see live streaming of the performance in the Hub at the Bluecoat as well as on the BBC Big Screen in Liverpool's Clayton Square.
Yoko's performance came 41 years after she gave her first paid UK performance at the historic arts space.

Forty years after her first performance in Liverpool at the Bluecoat in 1967, Yoko Ono will create a new work to celebrate the re-opening of the UK's oldest arts centre after its £12.5m redevelopment.

Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 April will see the Bluecoat taken over by live art with performances from leading international perfomance artists such as Franko B, Kira O'Reilly and Rajni Shah.
The Bluecoat welcomes thousands back through its doors
At 10.00am on Saturday 15 March, the Bluecoat officially reopened following its £12.5m redevelopment. The first 200 visitors were handed pairs of scissors to cut the ribbon which stretched right round the front courtyard. Opening programme revealed
On Saturday 15 March 2008, after a £12.5m redevelopment, the Bluecoat will throw open its doors to the public for the first time since early 2005. A full programme of Visual Art, Live Art, Dance, Music, Literature, Family and Heritage events has now been announced with events from March - May, including the opening weekend available to view.
