Display Centre Temporary Move
The Bluecoat Display Centre has temporarily relocated to 54 Hanover Street during the £12.5m redevelopment of the Bluecoat, where they have held a tenancy since 1959.
The Bluecoat Display Centre is a nationally and internationally recognised contemporary craft and design gallery. They sell, exhibit and promote over 350 selected contemporary craftspeople each year working in a broad variety of media and continue to do so at their new temporary premises.
What’s New?
The Bluecoat is an exciting place to be at the moment. The building and the organisation are going through a period of huge change and, as we gear up to the big re-opening in early 2008, significant developments are taking place on a daily basis.
Development Information
The Bluecoat is developing the oldest building in Liverpool city centre as an exciting arts, heritage, cultural business and retail complex for the 21st Century. This £12.5 million scheme will secure the future of one of the city's best-loved buildings, retaining its special qualities whilst addressing its much-needed access and accommodation problems.

Liverpool Debates 2007

To really make the building a vibrant hub for contemporary culture, we are now searching for one of the key elements of the Bluecoat – the creative people and companies that will base themselves in the building when we reopen in early 2008.
