Download the Christmas card from the Bluecoat and create your own festive Alec Finlay Nest Box, inspired by Specimen Colony, a project commissioned for Now Then, the opening exhibition at the Bluecoat. 

Centred on a series of brightly painted nest boxes based on illustrations of birds on foreign postage stamps, Specimen Colony offers a contemplation on migration and the hybrid nature of contemporary cities. The project also refers to the Bluecoat being inhabited again and returned to life after a period of closure.
