Yoko Ono back at the Bluecoat.

Yoko's performance came 41 years after she gave her first paid UK performance at the historic arts space, recently reopened after a £12.5m redevelopment.
Yoko started by taking the audience back to 1967 with footage of her performance at the Bluecoat. She went on to show footage of her with John Lennon, invited the audience to remove bandages she had wrapped herself in, crocheted, changed costume and hats, and danced with the audience to a remix of Give Peace a Chance.
Earlier in the day Yoko posed for photographs with her Wish Tree, part of her work being shown at the Bluecoat as part of its opening exhibition Now Then. The tree is situated in the Bluecoat's garden and isnow laden with hundreds of visitors' wishes that will eventually be taken to her Imagine Peace Tower in Iceland.
Ono's screened performance provided the perfect opening event for Happenstance , a weekend of live art at the Bluecoat. And the live art doesn't stop there. On Wednesday 30 April we have a Live Art Lock-in, and then for those who like a bit of comedy with their performances, why not try Joshua Sofaer on Saturday 3 May.
