Late night opening - Wednesday 28 May
Susannah Hewlett 'It's Not You' The Bluecoat is open once again following a ten day closure due to fire. Live artist Susannah Hewlett has created characters, installations and sound works for her wry take on Saturday night game-shows. This highly entertaining (and free) performance will take place at 6.00pm on Wednesday 28 May. There will be live music in the Hub, the galleries will stay open until 10.00pm, and special drinks promotions make this a perfect opportunity to celebrate the opening of the Variable Capital exhibition.
Please note that the restaurant bar, Upstairs at the Bluecoat, located on the first floor of the building remains temporarily closed following a fire on 13 May. Upstairs at the Bluecoat will reopen once restoration of the building and kitchen is complete. The timescale for this is still being assessed.
Espresso will produce daily special salads, high quality afternoon teas with finger sandwiches, mini cakes and scones and will be serving drinks that can be enjoyed in the Hub or the Garden.
