Returning to her home city, at 6.00pm on Wednesday 4 June Cherie Blair discusses her newly published memoir, Speaking for Myself. Followed by a book signing.

Then at 8.00pm we have an unmissable opportunity to hear one of the legends of world poetry read from his work. Les Murray was born in New South Wales, Australia where he still lives. Murray is a versatile and ground-breaking author whose work includes over twenty collections of poetry as well as essays, prose writing and an award-winning verse novel, Freddy Neptune. He was awarded The Queen's Gold Medal for Poetry in 1999.

Please note that the restaurant bar, Upstairs at the Bluecoat, located on the first floor of the building remains temporarily closed following a fire on 13 May. Upstairs at the Bluecoat will reopen once restoration of the building and kitchen is complete. The timescale for this is still being assessed.

Espresso will produce daily special salads, high quality afternoon teas with finger sandwiches, mini cakes and scones and will be serving drinks that can be enjoyed in the Hub or the Garden.
