With contemporary local art adorning the walls complimented by an up to the minute menu & innovative wine menu, Upstairs is the perfect place to entertain friends or perhaps enjoy a romantic meal for two in the very heart of cultural Liverpool.
The bistro’s close proximity to many local performance venues as well as our own performance space makes it the perfect stop for a pre-show meal or refreshing interval drinks.
We also have a special children's menu (under 12s), smaller portions of our adult meals and creative children's activities available, making Upstairs at the Bluecoat an attractive destination for all those little explorers.
The Upstairs bistro is located on the first floor which may be accessed through the front entrance and turning left immediately. Pass the Tickets and Information desk and continue towards the glass doors. The lift is situated behind the doors to the left hand side and the bistro is located on the second floor. Alternatively you may access the bistro from the courtyard through the historic staircase side entrance by following the chalkboard sign.

To book a table please use the contact numbers detailed below quoting ‘Bluecoat meal deal’ in advance or on the day of the show. You may then claim your 20% discount on production of your Bluecoat ticket at the Upstairs bistro on the evening of the show.
