Edward Rushton
was Liverpool’s most implacable anti-slavery Abolitionist, Human Rights Activist and pioneer for disability rights [although often overlooked by historians].

The first rehearsed reading of the whole of Unsung, a new play telling the story of this extraordinary man and the times he lived through. There will also be a discussion with the team, including writers John Graham Davies and James Quinn.

Part of Unsung, a city-wide project celebrating the bicentenary, social actions and legacy of Edward Rushton. Funded by the Heritage Lottery and led by DaDaFest as part of DaDaFest International 2014.

This performance will be British Sign Language Interpreted and Audio Described.
