Fittings Multimedia Limited

Fittings Multimedia Arts is a disability-led performance company making works that address serious issues regarding the language of variety theatre. This work is created with the aide of artists and performers from various backgrounds and life experiences and in a variety of settings including theatres, castles, tents and toilets. Fittings tour regionally, nationally and internationally, attracting the widest possible audience. The work is made to entertain audiences and to express what it is to be human.

Historically, Fittings have used a fusion of disabled and non-disabled visual artists and theatre makers to pursue their aim of challenging preconceptions by embracing mixes of artists, art forms and cultures to question stereotypes and break down boundaries. In doing so, the group develop and create multi-sensory mixed-media artworks, which ordinarily involve a core live performance aspect, using integrated companies. This is done by developing unusual partnerships in a way that exposes individuals and organisations to different creative experiences, ways of working and to a diversity of cultures. Fittings work in various forms including performances, installations, exhibitions, films, workshops and seminar/lecture/training formats.
