Liverpool's centre for the contemporary arts

Mark Harrison

Mark

Mark is a freelance illustrator with over 10 years of experience. His images are created digitally from scanned rough drawings enabling him to work faster and meet deadlines. Commissioned work usually involves caricatures but he has recently worked on numerous local event flyers. Mark enjoys drawing and painting his own characters in acrylics and has been doing so regularly since 2008. He is currently working towards future exhibitions having had shows in Liverpool and Manchester.

His interests include films, collecting picture books and he enjoys stumbling across a picture or illustration in a magazine, the internet or something from real life that can inspire and motivate. Mark keeps a sketchbook as often as possible - sometimes even a late night half hearted drawing is the one he’ll use over further attempts of the same image as it’s the most spontaneous and true to the original idea.

Selected clients include Tate Liverpool, Wild In Art Liverpool, Open Culture Liverpool, Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral, BBC Worldwide, Orange, 3 Mobile, Glastonbury Festival, Radio Times, Empire, Mojo, Mixmag, Mizz, The Guardian Guide, Official XBox 360 magazine, Oxford University Press, Oxford Designers & Illustrators.
