Liverpool's centre for the contemporary arts
Studio Me features work by Joshua Henderson and Veronica Watson, who have developed their practice as members of Blue Room, Bluecoat’s inclusive arts programme. They have embarked on their first studio residency, sharing work from their individual practices, resulting in this joint exhibition.
Henderson has a love of architecture, specifically iconic buildings in Liverpool, which are featured heavily in his work. Along with his detailed box buildings, Henderson has worked with Bluecoat's Print Studio to create etchings and prints.
Watson’s portraiture practice has developed through observing the faces of the people who populate Bluecoat, including staff, volunteers and artists. Her gallery features a wall full of portraits, and her very first self-portrait.
