Joe is a writer with over 50 professionally produced / published titles to his name. He started out as an actor with a small touring theatre company which eventually lead to offers from mainstream Theatre, TV and Radio producers. This soon broadened to story and character development, where he utilised the skills acquired as an actor to create high concept story ideas for Producers and Directors. He has a Masters degree in Screenwriting and writes original material, (and adaptations), for Oxford University Press and Reid International Publishers. His most recent publication is ‘Exchanges’, a collection of newly commissioned plays for GCSE Drama.
TV roles include Mr Booth in Hollyoaks, Father Bruce in Shameless, Gary in Clocking Off and Nigel in Stan the Man. Radio credits include ‘What a Boss Moss’, ‘Best Wishes’ and ‘The Game of Empire’ for BBC Radio 4. His first film role was Danny in The Fruit Machine and more recently he played Dr. Doyle in The Forgotten Army.
Joe recently completed a run at The Lowry Theatre, Salford, playing the Tin Man in The Wizard of Oz, working alongside Judy Garland’s daughter, Lorna Luft.
