There is no bed today; the presence of the bed in the Hub over the last few weeks has become expected. Perhaps acting like a reminder of the promise of comfort and security which awaits us that we all expect.

Currently there we are still in touch with a generation which lived through the single most disruptive conflict of the 20th century. For many the war provided a backdrop for their formative years shading their ambitions for a peaceful world. Since then we have had generations whose experience of war has been at a distance mediated through the media.
