Bluecoat is recruiting an Assistant Producer to support a new programme of exhibitions showcasing the work of local artists and to work as part of the wider Programme Team. Part of the Weston Jerwood Fellowship Programme, this exciting new role involves working to support artists from the Liverpool City Region to show existing artworks in our public gallery for the first time. The postholder will also contribute to other activities (exhibitions, events, visits with studio holders) and work with colleagues across the organisation to engage with audiences.
We are looking for a candidate with a strong desire to work in the arts, but no prior experience in visual arts or galleries is required. Experience and skills will be gained through the post. We are looking for individuals who are good at working with others, have excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail. We’re interested in the perspectives and life experience that the candidate brings to the role.
This role is specifically aimed at people who have experienced social and/or economic barriers to employment in the arts.
