Poetry Workshop: Motivism

  • Sat, 15 Oct 2011
  • 11.00 AM - 2.00 PM
  • Tickets: £5 / £3

With Michael Egan.

Michael Egan is a Liverpool based poet and runs Holdfire Press -a publisher dedicated to emerging poets.  He has had four pamphlets published and one full length collection, Steak & Stations, Penned in the Margins, 2010. His poetry has appeared widely in magazines and he was recently Highly Commended by the Forward Prize.  He is currently working on his second collection, Monsieur Dassonville and His Duck.

In this practical workshop, participants will discover the form of Motivism and learn how to perfect its use in poetry. Bring along an image to kick-start a poem or a piece you’ve written inspired by place or picture.

Michael Egan discuses his work in an interview with Melissa Lee-Houghton here
