Tom Vowler and Graham MortGraham Mort writes poetry and short fiction. After the publication of Visibility: New & Selected Poems he was described as 'one of contemporary verse's most accomplished practitioners'. He has won many prizes for his work, including the 2007 Bridport Prize for his story The Prince. His short story collection Touch won the 2011 Edge Hill prize - the UK's only prize for a book-length collection of short fiction. Graham is Professor of Creative Writing at Lancaster University. He is currently finishing Cusp, a new book of poems, and working on Terroir, a new collection of short fiction.

Tom Vowler’s debut short story collection, The Method and Other Stories, won the international Scott Prize in 2010 and Edge Hill Readers’ Award in 2011. His forthcoming novel, All That Binds Us, is a dark psychological thriller set on Dartmoor. In 2007 he completed an MA in Creative Writing at the University of Plymouth and since then his stories have appeared widely.

Graham and Tom will read from their award winning work and converse on the thrill of the short story and what it means to them.
