Liverpool Irish Festival Dubliners 100 UK Book launch with special guest Daniel Mulhall, Ambassador of Ireland

  • Wed, 29 Oct 2014
  • 7.00 PM - 8.30 PM
  • Tickets: £4

Liverpool Irish Festival and Tramp Press, Dublin are delighted to present a special event for this year’s festival to mark the centenary of James Joyce’s Dubliners (1914). New Irish publishing company Tramp Press has daringly commissioned a collection of 15 short stories inspired by the originals. Thomas Morris, Editor of The Stinging Fly, conceived of the idea and together with Tramp Press has produced Dubliners 100, showcasing some of Ireland’s foremost established and upcoming literary talent.

This event is the UK book launch for Dubliners 100 and will feature readings by some of the authors in addition to readings from the original Dubliners by Ambassador Daniel Mulhall, followed by a panel discussion. Ambassador Mulhall, himself a Joyce aficionado is thrilled to be involved in this special event celebrating the centenary of the classic book and promoting contemporary Irish literary talent.
