Freedom Requires Free People: Film Screening

A screening of the film Freedom Requires Free People by Ane Hjort Guttu. The film presents an 8 year old boy at a primary school in Oslo, following him through interviews and during school hours, and looks at the conflict between his strong desire for freedom and participation, and the framework put forward by the school. Freedom Requires Free People questions the conditions of critical thinking within educational institutions and, in a broader sense, within society. Tom Emery from The Royal Standard will be present to discuss the work

Freedom Requires Free People is presented by The Royal Standard as part of the March edition of the Artist Teacher Association meetings held at Bluecoat, and is part of the events programme for Playing by the Rules
