Experience dance in a new way, through sound. Join us for this performance in which visual artist Jesc Bunyard invites dancer Elinor Lewis to create a work performed in the dark. Bunyard noticed how music covers up the sounds of the dancers during performances, and in doing so masks the physical and emotional effort that the dancers exert.
In Aural.Effect, Bunyard aims to draw attention to the effort of dance and movement through Elinor Lewis’ improvisation of a performative dance piece in the dark.
Also join us at 6pm on Wed 18 Jan for Space to Breathe, a two hour movement masterclass led by INHABIT artist Jo Blowers. A precursor to Aural.Effect, this workshop will explore the bridge between movement and aural expression.
