Liverpool Print Fair is a joint venture from The Print Social and Bluecoat Print Studio, gathering the very best in printmaking and design to provide Liverpool with accessible and affordable art. We also have the follwoing taster workshops available on the day:

Screenprint Taster Session

2pm - 4pm / £12

This is a two hour taster session. See how a screenprint is made from start to finish and contribute to a collaborative print exploring shape, colour and layering. You will be shown how images and cut out shapes can be transferred onto screens using photosensitive emulsion and you will take turns printing different layers to build up a series of collaborative prints that you can take away with you.
If you feel inspired by this session we run full day introductory workshops which will enable you to come back and use the print studio independently.

Linocut Taster Session

11am - 1pm / £12

This is a two hour Linocut taster session. Linocut is a process where you carve into a flat block in this case vinyl and then roll the surface that remains with and ink, lay over a piece of paper and press to create a bold high contrast print. In this workshop you will be shown how to use the different carving tools to generate different marks, how to generate tone and how to effectively roll up with ink, align with your paper and print. Within the session you will design, carve and print your own one layer A6 print.

No prior experience required.

If you feel inspired by this session we run full day introductory workshops which will enable you to come back and use the print studio independently.
