Liverpool's centre for the contemporary arts
Bluecoat is filled with family fun this summer, so join us for an extravaganza of family fun inspired by Abacus, our summer exhibition created specifically for children. Don't miss this family weekend jam-packed with art activities, including art, comedy and movement for all the family.
On Saturday, join dance artists from Liverpool Improvisation Collective as they take you through some movement games and activities. Looking at the work of artists Emily Speed and Mark Simmonds, we'll be playing with movement on and around the structures and colourful paths throughout the gallery space, balancing, building and creating shapes with our bodies!
We will also be joined by Liverpool’s first monthly kid’s comedy club, Funny Looking Kids, who come crashing into the Bluecoat with it’s usual jokes, sketches & mayhem! To find out more about Funny Looking Kids click here.
The Funny Looking Kids Comedy Club on Saturday (2.30pm, £5/£3) is aimed at ages 7+ and booking is advised.
On Sunday, there’s a range of free art activities for all the family throughout the day, including storytelling sessions at 2pm and 3pm for 4 – 7 year olds.
