Take a break in our Espresso Cafe

As well as being a centre for the contemporary arts, Bluecoat is the perfect location for fresh, local food and drink, right in the city centre. We serve hearty, warming, homemade food in our Espresso Cafe, with plenty of additonal seating upstairs in a relaxed environment. Our Espresso Cafe is located in the ground floor Hub. We offer barista coffee, leaf teas, craft ales, wines and soft drinks. We have a wide selection of freshly made sandwiches, salads, homemade cakes and biscuits.  If the sun is shining take your food and drink outside and relax in our beautiful garden, which offers a peaceful retreat from the summer crowds.

Please click here to see our current Bistro menu / View our special menu for children

The upstairs at Bluecoat is located on the first floor. The lift can be found in the Vide exhibition display area.

Family Friendly

Bluecoat is a family-friendly venue with ground floor baby-changing facilities.  Visit our exhibition, play in the garden, follow our gallery trail and join in our family-friendly activities. Plus our Children's Corner provides activities to keep you and your little ones happy with self-guided activities and storybooks.
