Family Weekend: Take P-Art!

  • Sat, 25 Jan 2020 - Sun, 26 Jan 2020
  • 1.00 PM - 4.00 PM

Family Weekend Family drawing

We know January feels like the longest month of the year, but with Bluecoat's free family weekend you won't have to spend a penny to entertain your little artists. Join us Saturday 25 / Sunday 26 1-4pm where we’ll be taking inspiration from our latest exhibition, It’s My Pleasure to Participate, with a carousel of child-friendly activities inspired by Alexis Teplin’s various artworks.

On Sat 25, join our artist in residence Emily Motto for a fun creative workshop inspired by her current work in her studio! Build a maze-like structure, using lots of found and recycled materials to build walls and pathways together.

This follows on from The Obstacle Course which she developed with communities at Contemporary Sculpture Fulmer, and explorations in mark-making through spaces.

On Sun 26, celebrate Chinese New Year and make your own patchwork lanterns, inspired by Alexis Teplin's work in our gallery.

Refuel in our cafe with some delicious homemade Chinese dishes.

Suitable for all ages
