When I joined the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra in 1963 after studies in London the Bluecoat and the Sandon studios were a haven for me. Culture had always been part of my life and I never thought to find so much in Liverpool ... Wonderful company if one wanted it, or a little peace! I still have various artworks, mainly pottery, I bought during my years in the orchestra.

My life was enriched by what the Bluecoat had to offer and my very first children's concert was there.

And we can't miss out the amazing plays at the Everyman - great restaurants, inspiring poets LIVERPOOL was AMAZING then!
