About Kate

Kate Hodgson (b. St. Helens) is a visual artist from St Helens who works across the Northwest. Her practice explores how art can be democratic and taken outside the confines of a gallery space. Kate works across many different mediums but is particularly drawn to print and performance. She is interested in language and text, stemming from her obsession with slogan t-shirts. Kate teaches print at the Bluecoat and John Moores University and previously at Salford print studio, Hot Bed Press.
