Ka Baird

Ka Baird is an American recording artist, multi-instrumentalist, producer and performer based in New York City. They bring their raw, ecstatic, and boundary pushing live performance to Bluecoat this spring - involving energetic and experimental body movements, vocal and mic techniques and flute playing. Her latest album Bearings: Soundtracks for the Bardos is out March 22nd on acclaimed New York record label, RVNG Intl.

Rosie Terry Toogood & Dialect

Rosie Terry Toogood & Dialect come together for a special one off performance, exploring gesture and fragile technology. Rosie Terry Toogood is a choreographer and dancer who’s collaborated with international artists Jérôme Bel and Léa Tirabasso. She’s joined by Dialect, the solo project of Liverpool composer and multi instrumentalist, Andrew PM Hunt. His work fuses elements of minimalism, sound collage and electro-acoustic composition.

Ancient Plastix

Ancient Plastix is the producer pseudonym of Liverpool based Paul Rafferty (Hot Club De Paris). He creates rich ambient music described as ‘soft swan-like strokes, oscillating gently, an unhurried pace that combines the depth of Japanese ambient maestros and the choppy British mist’. His latest album, II received praise from The Quietus and Clash Magazine. This will be his first live performance of Ancient Plastix in Liverpool
