Thu 30 Oct, 1-4pm
Join photographers Yaqeen Amir, Anoosh Ariemhar and Open Eye Gallery to have a free portrait taken with an object or picture which, for you, represents freedom.
What does freedom mean to you - is it about reflecting on memories of peace, escaping to your local green space or being able to fly like a bird?
You are more than welcome to have a portrait alongside your object or we can just photograph the object if you would like to remain anonymous. A copy of the image will be available to take home on the day.
A selection of images from the workshop will be displayed as part of a national photography exhibition celebrating the wider Our Freedom Then and Now programme.
The photography activity will start on the hour at:
1-2pm
2-3pm
3-4pm
We will also have a drop in photo-collage activity between 1-4pm where you can create intimate photo-collage booklets that reflect your personal ideas of freedom, taking inspiration from the poem Freedom Road by Simon Armitage, which you can view here.
Free entry.
