Sat 22 Nov, 11am - 5pm
During this simplified, beginner friendly day course you will learn how to turn a treasured image into a UV stencil screen. Once you have your screen made, you’ll be talked through some fun and easy screen techniques to add colour to your prints. You'll finish the workshop by using our screen-beds to ink and print your one-of-a-kind artwork onto paper in a small edition that you can take home with you.
£70 (all materials included)
What’s Included?
All materials you will use are included in the cost of the course, but you are welcome to bring along your own if you choose. Our studios are always striving to be more environmentally friendly and use greener printmaking processes and consumables where possible.
Do I need to prepare anything beforehand?
Yes, You will need to send a digital image or scan of the photograph you’d like to make your artwork from to ivy.m@thebluecoat.org.uk at least 7 days before the course. The quality of your photo will affect the outcome of your final print – the higher quality the better. Images will be simplified and halftoned, so the higher contrast the better.
