The Royal Society of Arts (RSA) is all about uniting people and ideas to resolve the challenges of our time. As part of its Northern Forum, the RSA is collaborating with the Bluecoat for a half-day conference at the arts centre.
Leading local figures from the worlds of business, academia, politics and charity are being brought together to deliver lightning talks on different aspects of 'Levelling Up'. A full list of speakers will be announced shortly, but those already approached promise a breadth of ideas that they think can inform this agenda – with perspectives on issues such as employment, skills, regional inequalities, culture-led regeneration and devolution.
With each talk restricted to ten-fifteen minutes, the series is guaranteed to make for a lively, informative and stimulating occasion. Come along and be inspired, meet like-minded people, and spark some ideas that will help shape the future!
Michelle Charters, Kuumba Imani Millennium Centre
Lorna Rogers, Liverpool City Region Combined Authority
Lynsey Hanley, author and freelance journalist
Paul Cherpeau, Liverpool Chamber of Commerce

Taking part in RSA in-person events
To participate in the event, you will need to register for a ticket so we can make sure we have an up-to-date list of those who plan on attending. This is for capacity purposes. We request that all attendees evaluate their own health and that of those they’re in close contact with. We encourage all attendees that are ill or showing symptoms of illness to stay home and to cancel your Eventbrite ticket if you are no longer able to join the event.
Given the ever-changing nature of the pandemic, please always check your latest national Government guidance in addition to following our baseline guidance enclosed here. If guidelines do change, the event may be cancelled at short notice.
If you have any questions, or to let us know of any access requirements or reasonable adjustments you require, please email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
