Acanthus returns to Bluecoat garden

Green-fingered visitors to Bluecoat will be interested to learn that an acanthus plant that had flourished in our 'secret garden' has recently returned. When the building closed for its capital refurbishment in 2005/06, long-time supporter of Bluecoat, Peter Woods, was given a few acanthus roots from the garden by Brenda Evans. Brenda was a popular volunteer at Bluecoat, dedicating many years to tending the garden, and would be pleased to learn that the acanthus, having been nurtured by Peter, has now been replanted by our current team of garden volunteers.
