Support Us

As a registered charity, Bluecoat relies on the generosity of its supporters to keep our exhibitions free to enter, ensuring we reach those who are least likely to experience arts and culture.

Do you love seeing or making art? Can you imagine not having that experience in your life?

For many of the people we work with, this was their reality.

Bluecoat champions the potential of many voices under one roof.

During lockdown, Bluecoat provided a creative lifeline to those we support.

This year, with your help, we're planning on providing over 7000 experiences for people facing huge barriers to accessing art.

Can you help us make a difference?

Support us

With your help, we can continue to support new and emerging artists, engage people from all walks of life with the arts through our exciting participation programme, and maintain our beautiful building, the oldest in Liverpool's city centre.

Thank you for wanting to volunteer with the Bluecoat! Here is a list of our current opportunities.

Volunteer with Blue Room at Norton Priory

Volunteering with Blue Room is a perfect opportunity for those wishing to give their time to a life-enhancing project. The role is a chance to learn from experienced inclusive arts practitioners and share your skills in the context of a high quality creative programme.

Three people look up towards a large pink and white sculpture by Jonathan Baldock in Bluecoat's Gallery.

We are not yet welcoming back volunteers to the gallery or garden but hope to soon.

If you want to register your interest in becoming a volunteer please join our mailing list and we'll keep you posted on opportunities.
