Angie Hiesl, TWINS – how do I know I am me ...

2009

In this Bluecoat live art commission, Angie Hiesl and Roland Kaiser - directors, choreographers, performance and visual artists from Liverpool's twin city of Cologne - played on our fascination with the phenomenon of identical twins, by creating visually arresting, poetic, seductive and thought-provoking illusions. Resonating with themes such as human cloning and the identity of the individual, TWINS – how do I know I am me ... elevated everyday interactions into something extraordinary, and was set against the backdrop of the raw industrial space of the Furnace at A Foundation, which is now Camp & Furnace.
