This plaque was commissioned for Bluecoat Society of Arts' golden jubilee. Designed by long-time Bluecoat resident Julia Carter Preston, whose studio overlooked the garden, the plaque was set into an iron gate that led from College Lane into the garden, outside Bluecoat Display Centre. It was last exhibited in the Vide in 2017-18 as part of the building's tercentenary celebrations.
