Children and Families

Visitors of all ages can find something to entertain them at Bluecoat. We love welcoming families to our building, and have lots of activities and facilities to help make your visit enjoyable and stress-free.

As well as discovering our gallery exhibitions, there's always something to do for families in our Hub space, which features a family zone created by artist Harold Offeh.

Bluecoat Platform

Stop by our front courtyard to explore Bluecoat Platform, a family friendly sculpture created by artists Simon & Tom Bloor with children aged 5-11 from our after school art club Out of the Blue.

Pick up a children's lunch box from our cafe, and enjoy it inside or in our safe, enclosed garden where children can play and explore. We have high chairs and baby changing facilities available, and mothers are supported to breastfeed wherever they want in our building.

Ask our staff about our upcoming family events - we usually have something coming up that you'll want to save the date for.
