Our annual celebration of Wirral-born writer Malcolm Lowry focuses on three new books.
Helen Tookey discusses her Outward Bound from Liverpool: Reading Malcolm Lowry. Mexican academic and writer Alberto Rebollo talks about his novel, The Demons of Mezcal and the annual Lowry Colloquium he organises in Cuernavaca. The Magus of Mexico: Malcolm Lowry, Magic and Myth is considered by a panel comprising its editor Mark Valentine and some of the book’s contributors including Mark Goodall, Jonathan Wood, and Michael Romer, accompanied by a magic-themed Lowry altar which people are invited to contribute to.
