2025 Exhibitions

In 2025, we hosted a series of film screenings from Jennifer Lee Tsai, Farah Al Qasimi and Abi Palmer, followed by exhibitions by Joanne Masding and Rowena Harris. During the Summer we hosted Liverpool Biennial in our Gallery, followed by two interactive exhibitions, Just Browsing and Lou Miller's We Dream of Our Freedom.

Jennifer Lee Tsai & Tmesis Theatre: Fallen Star

A tender film about connecting and holding ancestral bodies by Tmesis Theatre and Bluecoat Artist in Residence Jennifer Lee Tsai.

Farah Al Qasimi: Everybody was Invited to a Party

Farah Al Qasimi's film takes inspiration from ‘Iftah Ya Simsim’, a 1980s Arabic version of Sesame Street, and features hand-sewn puppets voiced by the artist.

Abi Palmer: Slime Mother

Enter a 'slug-god world', with beautiful composed film work and spoken word, transforming the slug from a hated body into the divine.

Joanne Masding: The Moveable Scene of the Page

Masding’s playful exhibition combined her written work with her sculptural practice, and investigates how images, objects and words link together.

Rowena Harris: Long-Covid and the Culture of Disbelief

This interactive exhibition was created by artist Lou Miller in collaboration with local Liverpool school children to ask them about their vision of freedom.
